Follow authors to get new release updates, plus improved recommendations. Joanne Flood has been a bestselling author of nonfiction for more than a dozen years. Every Evil Deed is her debut work of fiction. Born in Brooklyn, Joanne uses her knowledge of some of the borough's most captivating sites to create a rich background for this first novel in the Luke Phillips series. Joanne is also an author of accounting and auditing technical topics. She has experience as an auditor in both an international firm and a local firm and worked as a senior manager in the AICPA's Professional Development group. Joanne received an MBA Summa Cum Laude in Accounting from Adelphi University, a bachelor's degree in English from Molloy College, and an MLS from St. John's University. While in public accounting, Joanne worked on major clients in retail, manufacturing, and finance and on small business clients in construction, manufacturing, and professional services. At the AICPA, she developed and wrote e-learning, text, and instructor-led courses on accounting standards. She put her certificate in instructional design from Columbia Teachers College to good use by producing training materials in a wide variety of media, including print, video, and audio, and pioneering the AICPA's e-learning product line. Joanne combines her talents in content design with her technical background to create books that are written in plain English and contain user-friendly graphic designs, making highly technical material accessible to all.
