About the Author Hugh Barton is a lecturer, researcher and consultant on sustainable settlement planning and environmental decision-making. He has worked for many years at the University of the West of England and is currently Executive Director of the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for Healthy Cities and Urban Policy.
