About the Author James B. Stewart is Professor Emeritus at Penn State University, USA. He is former President of the National Council for Black Studies and the Association for the Study of African American Life and History; Senior Fellow in the Institute on Race, Power, and Political Economy at the New School, USA; and author of numerous books, including Flight: In Search of Vision and Introduction to Black Studies, Transdisciplinary Approaches and Implications.
