This book is one half of a two volume set. Volume 2: The Confederacy is 182 pages long, containing over 100 full color pictures of the Rebel army's fighting units and battle scenes. Included are the famous Stonewall Brigade, Texas Brigade, Terry's Texas Rangers, the Orphan Brigade, numerous Zouave units plus many more. The author has combined a lifelong love of Civil War history with his hobby of painting and crafting 15-22 mm miniatures in scale scenarios. The miniature uniform features, equipment, unit badges and flags are detailed and accurate. The soldiers and sailors are depicted in realistic scale dioramas in camp, in the heat of battle or fighting aboard ironclad vessels replete with explosions, gun smoke, blood and casualties. In addition to the full length text descriptions of the soldiers and the famous Civil War battles, there are included more than 75 items of esoteric trivia relating to the Confederate Army and "Johnny Reb".
